PRESENTATION

The course on Fundamental Notions of Climate Finance provides a basic knowledge dedicated to the fight against climate change and climate finance. Thanks to the lessons and practical application, you will be able to characterize climate projects from the point of view of adaptation and mitigation, taking into account the criteria used for this characterization. In addition, you will use the most relevant methodologies and tools to identify and calculate the impact and carbon footprint of your projects. 

Overall learning objectives of the course:

  • Acquire basic climate change concepts and climate finance concepts;
  • Understand climate change adaptation;
  • Identify the levers of climate change mitigation;
  • Analyze the carbon footprint;
  • Understand the convergence between climate and biodiversity.
